First of all, I am not going to defend Eric Foster, because that would imply he needed to be. Nor am I endorsing him.
You are entitled to your personal opinion of someone, just as I am and all other people. What I see horribly wrong with your post is:
1) You state Eric Foster is a racist and a drunk, however you attack his brother Matt publicly because you believe he is mentally handicaped. Matt didn't sign anything to run for any office. I am not sure who is better for a school board position, a racist or someone who attacks an innocent bystander because they believe they are retared. This is why many good people do not run for public office. They do not wish their family members to be drug through mud. Very cheap shot.
2) I saw where it was posted Eric's mom isn't a very nice person either. I have never met her, but SEE ABOVE.
3) "Eric Foster has no kids in the school district." This is a fact, however, under this logic only people with children in school should pay property taxes to support the district. You must not pay much head to the whole idea of no taxation without representation.
You may be completely right about Eric Foster's character, however, next time bring more facts about a candidate's positions on policy and less opinion about their families to convince me why they are unqualified. The one provable fact neither makes a candidate unqualified or ineligible to hold any public office I am aware of.
I only even commmented on this post because I think we are better than this in Granite City. I think we need to take a serious look at who is representing us and vote for them based on facts and policy, not where we read on the internet they hangout at or because we recognize their name so we check the box. I know quite a few people I enjoy very much, but would never trust them to make decisions for me.
If anyone see's Eric out, or at Bindy's, ask him what he would do differently? What would he like to change about our district over the next 1, 3, and 5 years. Then go ask some other candidates and incumbants the same questions and decide for yourself. This strategy works better if you have a clue what you think needs to be changed or not changed first. It's possible either you or them may learn something from the conversation.
I would personally love to see a forum on here for the candidates to state their positions and goals. Or even better yet, a public debate in town.
Do we have any candidates or incumbants up to the challenge?
