I too have very small dogs and taking them out in the snow is a pain in the keaster. Here's a small tip for you all. Go buy yourself a really cheap 10' x 10' plastic tarp (Big Lots) and the day or night before you know we are going to get snow, spread it out in the yard (over the grass) as close to your door as possible. Then after the snow comes and goes, go out and removed the tarp from the area. Wallah instant grass spot for the dogs to take care of their busines. The real beauty of it is no wet, snow caked legs and bellies to deal with. Works great for me, I always have my trusty tarp standing by for the next big storm. My neighbors think I am nuts and thinnk my dogs are totally spoiled, but it saves alot of time and mess on the my floors. Give it a try it works great, even in the deepest snows as with this last storm.
