I know about thinking chivalry is dead chellebelle. One night last year right after Christmas, it was one of those nights that it was freezing, my husband was working midnights and a lady had come in and asked if there was anyone that could help her change her tire. My husband went out to help her, and in the process of him changing the tire, the lady told my husband that she had pulled into the parking lot and saw a man coming out of the store. She said that she asked him if he could help her change her tire, that she didn't have much but would pay him the $10 she did have for his troubles. The man looked at this woman and told her, "No, take your $10 and go buy yourself some family members." She tried to pay my husband for it, and he told her no, it wasn't necessary for her to feel like she needed to pay him. When my husband came home and told me about this I was totally appalled. It's one thing to say no you don't want to help but to go to the extent and say what that man said was absolutely rude and hurtful. I said what is this world coming to when people start telling others to go buy them some family instead of lending a helping hand??
