Yes the judging did take forever... I think that the judging should have possibly been done while the parade was going on so that we could start serving people as they showed up. Then when everyone is there they could announce the Winners. It was fun but very crowded and I was really shocked!
As far as the recipe... I don't really have one...lol My husband and Family have always told me that I need to open a chili parlor but I need to sit down and write everything that I put in and try to make a recipe. I just keep adding stuff until I think it taste good..lol It really is kind of simple though, I don't put anything crazy in it, just traditional chili!
