Check with the College...possibly they could send out an email to all students about the collection and see if you can get items and monetary donations. Maybe get a bank account set up where people can mail in donations...and some spots on campus where people can drop off items. Most schools are really good about this. we are doing a similar thing at the school I currently attend in Houston. My teacher's wife has breast cancer and we have taken up a collection to help them. She is only 39
