Then why would you or the Republican party object to continuing to provide subsidies/tax credits to those who must purchase their healthcare through the ACA?

If you don't have an employer sponsored healthcare it's your only option. Even if you are very healthy and don't need diagnostics or prescriptions today, if you don't have healthcare insurance you are one illness or accident away from bankruptcy or getting sick or dying because you don't have preventative care.
Premiums are already barely affordable for many people... 44 million people are insured in ACA related health coverage... Americans, here legally.

If the Republicans have something better than the ACA, bring it on, let's hear about it. Last I heard Trump had "concepts".

The Republicans refusal to even negotiate this is despicable.

And to add insult to injury, they are flat out lying about the fact that extending these credits will provide healthcare to illegals.

This lie is intended to shift the blame of the shutdown on Democrats and it, too, is despicable. Check any number of Republicans Face Book pages and you will find this lie being perpetuated.
