
My guess is that his wife will ask that Robinson not be put to death, which for me and many others will be disappointing.
You have to keep in mind, life in prison vs. death penalty -- and which is worse depends on the views of each individual. I read where the killer told his father he would rather commit suicide vs. turning himself in. There are people who believe, no matter what one has done in their life, they will be forgiven after death. Who knows? No one knows for sure and they won't until they die.
I feel like the punishment should be the opposite of what the guilty wants... if they prefer death, lock them up forever, if they prefer life in prison, execute them.
I know there's a lot more to the whole death penalty argument, but when there is absolutely no doubt that someone is guilty, the guilty should get the opposite of what they want.
