So is the Texas National Guard going to be deployed indefinitely? Of course not, but Trump has no interest in decreasing ongoing crime in Chicago.

He is merely setting the stage whereby it's acceptable to deploy his personal "crime fighters" anytime he needs them to benefit his Authoritarian agenda.
