I think we can both be right on this one... maybe, lol. I think a lot it depends on the job requirements and the individual's work ethics. If you do it full time and have kids, you need daycare or they need to be in school. Mrs Soccer does it part time and grandma watches the little heathens (just kidding, they're great kids), we pay grandma because she needs it even though we have to force it on her.

With technology, you can almost have more effective supervision vs. in person. When Covid required a lot of work from home, managers should have been able to tell who met or exceeded their job requirements and who didn't.

Millgirl has a good point, a lot of the disconnect on this issue could be generational.
