My old high school Belleville East once beat GC 71 to 0. I can't imagine a Belleville school losing by 30 points to GC, and the coach keeping his job. It had to be Belleville West. When I was in high school GC was considered an automatic win in football, and almost automatic in basketball but they were damn good at soccer and wrestling.

I have to give Granite City credit for having the good sense to stop playing East St.Louis in football. Just about every other school in the area should have learned that lesson by now also.
