Opi - I think you and Todd are correct to a certain extent. I think there are a wide variety of reasons people are voting for their chosen candidate and disdain for the opposing candidate is definitely at play. We only have 2 choices and you either pick one or sit at home. Both candidates need to motivate that person who knows who they would prefer, but they are not motivated enough to vote.

Some people will vote along party lines, some will vote one particular issue, some on character (like ability). I'm not putting much stock in any polls and I think it is either going to really close or I wouldn't be shocked if there's a blowout.

My wife and I were daydreaming about leaving for a remote island paradise with no internet TV, phones on Nov 5 and coming back 2 weeks later. Of course, jobs, kids, animals etc make that only a dream.
