The Democrat Party panders to whoever they feel is the most convenient and useful group to pander to, which right now are the illegals they are greenlighting into the country. They look at people and evaluate their usefulness by estimating how many voting cycles they will be around for. They still try to scare old people with the usual the Republicans want to take your Social Security lies but they do not see them as being as vital as they once did, because their expiration date makes them less valuable. 100% that is how they operate.
