I agree 100%. However, as I stated, we all look for every deduction we can to avoid taxes.
Most middle class workers pay around 30% of all their income in tax. Super rich pay zero to maybe 10%.
I'm not sure where the 10% came from but let's break it down. If I make $100,000 a year and pay 30%, I pay around $30,000 in income tax. If my colleague makes $2,000,000 a year and pays only 10%, he pays $200,000 a year. Who contributes more to society?
There are probably reasons for the disparity in the two wages. Profession, hours of work, education, responsibilities, etc.
So, while I agree in concept, the millionaire does more than I do.
