You won't find any where in my post where I made a claim that this woman didn't have the right to threaten the board of education members about not getting re-elected, if they didn't fall in line with her way of thinking.
What you failed to mention was the point I was making about her representing a very small percentage out of that small group.
And no, I am not saying that an "outsider will be able to right the ship". But, clearly just doing more of the same, certainly will not either. Budgets, and test scores can certainly testify to that. So, just exactly what does this district have to lose by changing some antiquated rule that is clearly not being followed by all anyway?
I can tell you right out of the gate, the district will lose some of the decades old nepotism and it's employees will no longer have the pleasure of family or friends negotiating their salaries and benefits.
What a concept, actually being hired at a job regardless if it's a teaching position, or a janitor, or higher administration on your merit and who you are related to, or close friends with isn't taken into consideration as part of your resume.
You ask why this is being voted on so soon, I ask why not. Let's get this voted on and move forward.
