Wrong side of what tracks? Come on now. And I'm not assuming that only people who run for office were born on third base, because that dynamic exists for many fortunate people. Born into an established family where college is not a financial burden nor negotiable and no entry level position would have to be considered. People born on third base don't have too far to run to score or to hit a home run. We all know these types of families exist in this town. I won't name the names, but they exist. And those with those names permeate every city government venue in Granite City. Yes, even the park district.

When we finally have enough of this garbage and realize there are actually good people that are not connected and who would be thrilled and proud to do a good job for the betterment of our community, we will have a better community.

And everything I griped about in my original post still stands. I want the fountain in the heart of our city to be repaired and functioning, not ignored and people pretending like it doesn't exist.
