Let's see..... The purpose of the dwell/gap is to adjust how long the points are closed, making sure they're closed long enough to charge the coil. So, being as both engines used the same coil, setting the same Dwell angle should suffice.
However, it's possible that the two distributors might have different profiles on the cam that opens the points (but I think this would be unlikely). If I didn't (or couldn't) set the dwell angle, then I'd use the point gap measurement for the specific distributor (again, because we're firing the same coil). But of course, a match book cover ALWAYS works - doesn't it? - lol
