Hunt River Birthday Paddle October 22

Well, my birthday is Saturday, and like every birthday, I go out and paddle somewhere. This coming Saturday I've decided to visit the Hunt River.

I'm not "leading" this paddle, but if you would like to join me you are welcome. The access is where Davisville Road crosses the river just south of Frenchtown Road...there are two pull-offs on the right on either side of the bridge, and I think both are usable (although the first one you come to, before the bridge, launches very close to the lip of the dam). Meet at 9:30 for a 10:00 am launch. Parking is limited. I plan to paddle up as far as the water and marsh growth will allow, and then turn around, maybe take a short break on the way back, and head back to the cars.

After we get back to the cars, Cindy and I plan on driving over to Tilted Barn Brewery, and anyone is also welcome to join us there as well!

Hello Chuck,
Happy birthday. I am in my second week of recuperation from a hernia repair so will not be able to join you yet. The weather is supposed to be gorgeous.

Happy Birthday Chuck! I am unable to go this Saturday. I paddled there in late Sept and was stopped at the "usually submerged" old hiking bridge (a couple of telephone poles with boards nailed to them). Low water caused them to be several inches above the water level so we turned around there.
