I recently received this platter from my great uncle and have been unable to find any information on it. I was told it was my great great aunts and would love to know more. Unfortunately it is too blurry for me to figure out and was hoping for some help.

Hi Jennifer. This mark was used by Empire Works. The top part of the banner probably reads "Empire Works" though it is pretty blurred. The middle section would have the initials "EPCO" (Empire Porcelain Co) and the bottom banner probably reads "Stoke-On-Trent". Underneath is the word "England". I don't think there is a pattern name on this. The mark dates to circa 1896-1912 according to Kowalsky's Encyclopedia of Marks (page 190). We don't give out valuations on items, but I hope this helps you. This item is not in our pattern identification database, would it be okay if we used this photo to update our database?

Of course you can use it! Thank you so much for the information. I really appreciate it and look forward to sharing it with my family.
