Welcome back, Sue! I am pretty much a lurker here, but my Mom also had Alzheimer's, and she passed away in February. My father passed away three years ago, and he had been her caregiver. My siblings, some hired caregivers, and I spent a year and a half with Mom constantly, and then we were able to find a good nursing home for her for the last year and a half. It was challenging, and I was able to divide up the days and nights with others. I can't imagine doing it 100% of the time by myself. I hope that getting back into the creativity of doll shoe and fashion design, or whatever you may settle on, will give you lots and lots of enjoyable and soul calming/healing time going forward.
