Does anyone else have someone who blows up their phone EVERY day?
My Cousin does this. I understand she's lonely, and I try to comfort her she cries continuously about her husband being gone. He died 4 years ago. She is blind. (I'm sympathetic--and want to help) Usually, she begins at 6:00 am and goes through her list...her son, then her grand daughter. By the time she calls me, her phone drops the call about every two minutes. She's had a stroke and really struggles to speak. We talk about weather, kids, grandkids, and when we were kids. EVERY day.
I must sound callous. I talk til I run out of things to talk about. She has her oldest son living there and she's signed everything over to him. He writes...so he's not there much to talk to her. It is hard for both of them.
What would you do?
