I love the land where I live, but not the people or the politics.

I feel a connection to the land and love the rolling hills the trees. I paint the scenes around here and I love it.

The people are not friendly. If you look into it more you get to understand that most are German, stoic, not talkative with strangers and where I am they are very clannish and distrustful of everyone. Even I will not trust a person until my family says this person is OK. Until then they are held at arm's length.

The politics is stubbornly conservative. I was raised in a Republican household. I didn't mind it. No one fought over politics. It was fine. Nothing wrong with being conservative. But PA lawmakers are something else.

These guys will stubbornly stand in the way of every positive change. It's like living under Amish rule. LOL This attitude will hurt my state very much.
