I love Oregon's landscapes. I love the ocean being close enough for me (being deaf) can hear the roar when it storms. I love the mild mild climate. I look longingly at my hometown of Utah. I remember the monoliths of sandstone rising like huge statues from the deserts and valleys. And then I remember the hell of summer heat, and the icebox that wee valley became in winter. Nope. I'm now an Oregonian in spite of their boast, KEEP OREGON WEIRD.
