Media outlets are reporting that Vacharaesorn Vivacharawongse, the King of Thailand's second son, has returned from exile in the US. He and his full-brothers, though not his full-sister, were exiled from Thailand and stripped of the royal status following their parents' divorce in the 1990s.

It is hard not to believe that his return is not related to the ongoing crisis in Thai politics following the recent election, but we shall see.
