Agreed. It is a remarkable sign of the progress of the idea of gender equality, which was long seen by many as exclusively "western."

An interesting article.

A very interesting article indeed. I knew nothing about the Kingdom of Yogyakarta before reading it. But it seems that there will be difficult times when the current Sultan dies.
