Did you get a chance to interview at Emory? I also liked Nova, but I got my MPH there and live there now, so I needed a change of scenery and felt Emory was a better fit for me.
I think you get enough regional exposure to be able to perform in every way possible as an AA, but I got the feeling that Emory is a bit more traditional in that, if they cover it then you should be able to do it. I have a job that allows me to perform regional anesthesia in veterinary medicine right now, so I think what Emory teaches will prepare me well. I mean, there are no AA's from any of the programs who are struggling to find jobs, and both programs have 100% pass rate on he certifying exam, so even though there are two different paths, the proper teaching is there.
Has Nova changed their coursework since last year? I didn't see a class dedicated to regional anesthesia on their course list. Either way when I asked about it during the interview they assured me that it was covered in a good amount of classes and clinicals.
