You should be fine to get into AA school if you meet the requirements with a high GPA and have good scores on the MCAT. Older students present better canidates simply due to their experience in the working world. They have had oppurtunities working with professionals, and take more responsibilty. This obviously is not always the case. Some of my younger classmates are did well in the program and are doing well as AAs, and some older students did not complete the program. Hopefully this is helpful.
