CRNAs are not authorized to supervise SRNA trainees either! They can teach them, they can watch them, but the supervision still comes from the MDA that is managing the case. (Unless someone knows of a Nurse Anesthesia program that uses a hospital where there are NO MDAs....)
Sounds to me like one of my fellow CRNAs is trying to ensure he never has to TEACH an AA student. See how the practice laws are used as fences to keep people out.....
