Yeah, I meant to say "out-patient clinic" instead of "in-patient clinic" (which, as you said, would be a hospital).
How independent are you in your job duties? For example, do you insert lumbar epidurals, etc. yourself, or does the anesthesiologist do most of the "dirty work," and you assist him in various anesthesia-related tasks?
Also, have you ever done any locum tenens work? Those sound like really neat experiences, especially with paid lodging, travel and even per-diem allowances. Have you ever done any of this work? If so, can you tell about your experience and the downsides, upsides, etc.?
BTW, I will definitely be shadowing an Anesthesiologist/AA this summer while I have lots of time off from school. Thanks, Henry
