Well, I don’t know that 10 more people will make that much of a difference in the classroom--but in lab it is different. South has this simulator/robot that you can practice intubating and giving medication, etc with (so, 1 per 25 students). Great idea on Dr. Paulson's part--they were the first. Then Nova's program started and they got one too--a newer version. This summer they are getting another one (1 per 15). Emory doesn’t have one, but they are getting one for this next in coming class (1 per 48). When you look at stats like that, I feel like the additional people do make a difference because if it is up to you to come in and study in your free time with the simulator, it may be hard to find a time slot. About the dress code—I believe that Emory and South are business casual, but Nova actually says that men must wear a tie. I don’t know that that is really the case once you are actually there (they may be more relaxed than they come off). Women have to have on slacks and a nice top or skirts or dresses. It says no flip flops, shorts, jeans, t-shirts, etc. I have to say, yes, I am going to Nova, but I am not excited about how hot I will be in nice clothing with my white coat over it in that weather!
