Hi I work in Houston,Tx and I'm all for the AA-C being license to work in Texas and across the nation, and work independently just like CRNA'S.I have the most up respect for nurses in general(CRNA'S) the only problem i have with nurses is the majority of them wants to Dominate everything. My problem and other stories i have heard from Anesthesiologist Doctor's(M.D.) is CRNA's wants to act like their Anesthesia Dr.'s and the bottom line is they are not Doctor's, their still nurses with a masters degree. My advise to the majority of the CRNA's not all is if you want to be a Doctor then go back to school and become a Anesthesiologist Doctor(M.D.). It's not about YOU! and your Ego's It's about the Patient "FIRST" and i think a lot of you CRNA's NOT ALL have forgotten that #1 priority. I say MORE POWER TO YOU ANESTHESIOLOGIST ASSISTANTS(AA-C)Certified you all deserve it KEEP FIGHTING Jay,Anesthesia Technician,C.N.A.-Operating Room and Future Anesthesiologist Assistant-Certified. I work at a Level One Trauma Center.
