Honestly Erica, I would probably look for something a little more secure if I were in your situation. If you like working at a VA hospital (it's not for everyone) you will have more opportunity in other states, but there is no guarantee that the hospital near you will be hiring AAs. Although they are legally allowed to hire them, some may not have any experience working with AAs. If this is something you really want to do & you can stick around in one place long enough to finish school & would be secure with working after your husband gets out, by all means go for it. Just make sure you are fully aware that you may not be able to work everywhere that he goes. Hope this helps.
