Most state physician practice laws allow them to delegate certain duties to staff under them. I bet they could do the same with AAs even if there is no AA practice law in the state.
Just because a state has not come forward and LICENSED AAs does not mean AAs are "illegal." It just means they are not (yet) recognized by the state as a practitioner of anesthesia.
(And I am sorry some of my fellow CRNAs are such jerks.)
