    DD,

I am predicting marketforces in the USA will result in a CHANGE to the supervisory rules. Private Payers sustain the system and once they decide to pay no more than 150% of Medicare (as Mark Lema predicts) the system falls apart.

This has NOTHING to do with me personally. The supervisory change is necessary to maintain at LEAST one MDA for every 6-7 Mid-Level Providers. Alternatively, we can get "rid" of the MDA completely and let Mid-Level Providers staff our major medical centers "solo." Ridiculous. But, this is the type of care the AANA prefers for our sickest patients.

CRNA's lack the training to care for the sickest patients and most do not have the skills to do the toughest cases solo. This is my obvservation after 30,000 anesthetics in a major medical center. So, please stop the AANA crap and say something constructive for once.

AA's are licensed providers and should be granted the same rights and privleges as the CRNA's. SAME EDUCATION LEVEL SHOULD EQUAL SAME PRACTICE RIGHTS!

AA's and CRNA's are equal in the operating room.
My post was in reference to maintaining the AA's ability to practice if the ACT supervisory rules change.
