This is the number of CRNA programs vs. AA programs in the United States. The numbers explain why AA's have a tough time getting licensed in more States. The AANA lobby is large and brutal. Even with the ASA the number of CRNA's still out-number all the MDA's plus AA's combined.
However, I am hopefull many more AA programs will open in the next five years. The AAAA needs to get 20 programs on- board ASAP. Does anyone know why there are not at least ten by now? Perhaps, by the year 2010?
