What is the REAL difference? Archived Message

In looking at coursework from several schools (both AA and CRNA), it seemed to me that the only difference between the two programs was the nursing emphasis placed with CRNAs (obviously). Classes like history of nursing anesthesia, delivery and health systems in nursing anesthesia and research in advanced practice nursing (or similar) seem to be the only difference in programs. Why then do so many swear to the fact that there is no crossover in knowledge? I know about licensing differences but that is likely to change in the next five years. What gives?
