Where you a juvenile? Just charged, or plead guilty?
I wouldn't think a misdemeanor theft charge would keep you out, especially if it was expunged and you can establish that it wasn't a pattern. These programs do require a background check, so I would be sure to disclose it If your grades and e.c's are good, I would go for it.
