I'm currently an AA student at Case DC and wanted to post here to see if anyone had any questions about DC/AA profession in general. I know when I was applying to AA/MD schools I had a ton of questions about the AA profession and had very little information to go off of. The message board here was a life saver for leaning me towards the AA route and I want to pay it forward to anyone that is thinking about the AA profession/Case DC. I applied to all of the programs and got interviews at all of them, but ended up choosing Case DC for several reasons and I don't regret it one bit despite being a new program!
Washington Hospital Center is an amazing clinical site to start off at and the patient population here is extremely sick. This means your preceptors (AA's and MDs') are some of the best anesthesia providers around and you will learn from the best! While I might be a bit biased about DC since I go here, the preceptors I work with say this is far and away a better clinical experience than what they had experienced as students.
In short, feel free to message me anytime on here or privately if you have any questions. Part of my goal is to expand the information and knowledge about the profession. The more people we have going the AA route, the better the applicants, which will subsequently lead to larger numbers and more states!
