I second taking the MCAT. Also look at doing a one year Master's in something like Biomedical Sciences. Most of those programs are bridge programs into medical school so you take a lot of classes at a medical school level and sometimes with med students. Yea you may have a little more debt at the end of it but it does make you more competitive over someone fresh out of undergrad. Also a good way to improve upon your science gpa and show them that you can handle the course work at a graduate level.
