Re: MCAT vs GRE conundrum
Not going to pick a pointless argument in the obvious. Please read the medicare guidelines for reimbursement. The law prohibits non-anesthesia certified personnel from administering anesthetics, otherwise surgeons would do their own anesthesia (btw gastroenterologists are fighting to deliver their own propofol). There are deep sedation nurses, who are also encroaching on the territory of anesthesia. Of course I know that paramedics and RTs can intubate. I doubt any RTs or paramedics would ditch their relatively higher paying jobs to become anesthesia techs (10 bucks/hr). Even that, paramedics and RTs cannot PUSH medications as claimed here by this tech. Delegatory laws allows physicians to delegate tasks to certified and qualified personnel to deliver "anesthesia". If this was not true, AA's would not even exist in those "delegatory states", because think about it, why not just delegate the task to PAs. Are you suggesting that anesthesiologists can delegate these tasks to techs who can now push drugs, intubate, and care for patients? Then all AA's might as well be dead. STFU J, this is all common sense. I await your replies!!!!!
