I uninstalled the TracFone app with its so-called "WiFi Optimizer" that wouldn't allow any settings changes, and my WiFi no longer turns itself on. So I guess I will have to check my TracFone balance on my Chromebook rather than my phone.

I later installed the Avast Battery app (forget the exact name of it) and that was making my WiFi icon pulsate and I couldn't turn on my WiFi, so had to get rid of that also.

So many funky, glitchy apps.
