I am slightly irregular in my preferences for a Brit and most people think it's weird that I prefer hot over cold weather.
A Brit's favourite weather is chilly but not freezing, and somewhat overcast with maybe a little sun. We don't mind wind as long as it's not proper stormy. If it's like this, we won't complain or put it in the news or be mad about it. We will say "lovely day".
If it's hot (for us) and sunny we will put on beach dresses and get as burned as possible and out BRITAIN BAKES/ROASTS/MELTS in the news.
If it's below freezing or snow actually settles we also get unhappy.
Because we only get settled snow on a handful of days a year, it doesn't financially make sense to have any/much infrastructure for it either communally or individually (eg gritting, snow tyres etc) so we just grind briefly to a halt and be mad about it. And put it in the papers.
