I wouldn't quite call it feeling betrayed, but I feel flat, deflated. I don't partake much in social media and am not up to date with societal news. These news robbed me of being able to watch this movie ever again with tender excitement. The actor of one of the two main characters, Armie Hammer, which I found breathtakingly beautiful and touching, turns out to be a bdsm-predator who is into cannibalism, has cheated on his wife for many years with young women he groomed to be his slaves.

It seems, that to navigate this kind of (bdsm/ttwd) sexuality (alas MY sexuality), so much caution is needed. Consent is such a vulnerable concept. It can be broken so easily even if not withdrawn verbally. I feel naive.

In the past I was often close to asking the "pill question" on here: "If there was a pill that could turn your sexuality from ttwd into vanilla, would you take it?"

Today my resounding answer is YES.
