Though I do not come down from PA to the luncheons if I did I would be reluctant to tell "war stories" around current officers only because we came through during different times, different police tactics, different supervision, etc. Even when I came back as a civilian on a grant very few officers knew I was a retiree. I just didn't discuss it since I found out the way things operate in the 2000s weren't the same as they were in the 1970s and 1980s. I very much enjoyed working with the officers but just didn't want to get into the discussion of "you don't know how things are now" because they actually did change and being gone for many years before I came back I did not fully embrace the changes.
