Met a couple female officers

Last night I was In Riviera Beach. I saw two of our cars sitting in a field in the usual cat to car chat mode. Of course I had to butt in. Had to think of a question that made sense, to me anyway. So I barged right up next to them. Down rolls the middle car window. Thank goodness for power windows. I said hi and asked my well thought-out question. “Excuse me officers, but do you know if there is a bus stop around here?? I have to get this lady home.” With puzzled looks from them, and laughter from my passenger, I lost it too! We talked for a good while. Then the name-dropping began. I told them my id #. Theirs were 2005 and 2063. One asked if I knew Dutch Schaefer? Well heck yeah. And one other, asked another. I forget who she asked, and I said his first name, Jim. She said yes. I should have wrote it down. Then I asked if thier cameras were on. They both said they yes. So I withheld my cuss word. I didn’t want to start any chit. They knew the officer up on charges. They asked what was the post number back then when it was my post. I said 203. Now it is 3A1, one said. I said oh it’s Eastern now.! And I had Riviera Beach and Sun Valley, and Marley. Had that long-ass Marley Neck road to traverse. One officer said those Fords we had back then could move. These we have now won’t. (Damn! Did they put governors on these cars?) I didn’t ask. But anyway it was a nice conversation. On the way out of Riviera Beach, I saw one had a a car pulled over near Rudy Steen’s hang-out bar near Marley Neck Road.
