-If I get a new prescription for something, CVS will text me asking if I really needed it. Duh - yes, the doc wrote it so I must need it.
-Refills on a controlled substance cannot be filled sooner than 3 days from the date written, the CVS pharmacy cannot be more than 100 miles from the doctor's office, and cannot be refilled across state lines. My Pain Management doc is in Cumberland and I have to wait around at Walmart in LaVale to have it filled; it can't be sent to a CVS closer to my home.
-The pharmacists think they know more than the doctor that prescribed the Rx and often question the reason and need for the prescription. That's not limited to CVS stores in MD, it's happened to me at WV CVS stores as well. Apparently, any pharmacist can refuse to fill/refill a prescription for any reason, and you have to fight to get it filled.
Just this month I had a pharmacist refuse to refill a script (original Rx was for 90 days with one 90 day refill) until the prescribing doctor justified the reason for the script. In the meantime I waited 3 weeks without the prescription while CVS tried to contact the doc - then there was an additional wait while they ordered the prescription. It was a common Rx usually in stock.
-Prescriptions for pain meds are for a 30 day supply only. You can't get a 90 day supply. That may be a federal law, but it still sucks.
They need a new drive thru window employee at the Buckhannon store. My dog doesn't like her even though she bribes her with a biscuit.
(Just kidding, but the dog really doesn't like the girl.)
