Dave - A few years ago working in the sheriff's office a deputy there was already collecting SS retirement benefits., as tied to his previous employer in D.C. He spoke about his bennies would never change. he had been a deputy for at least 6 years, all the time paying into SS. He didn't think it meant anything. The FOP magazine had a story about this same situation, and one could get the SS adjusted due to current employment. He didn't believe it, but it took several other deputies repeating it for him to look into it. He called the SS Admin and low and behold it got him another $100 increase added in. It's worth having a review done if you've work after starting SS.
