I met Reynolds in the early 1960s. He owned a big hobby shop in downtown Evanston. He and Cy Broman started HR Products in the mid 60s. Sometime around 1970 the two split up and Broman kept HR and Reynolds started MM. Many years later, after Reynolds died, I spoke to his widow who was still running the business. Turns out that the primary part of the business was producing miniatures for doll houses, and the ships were just a sideline which she never approved of. At the time I spoke to her, she said that they had many boxes of parts and kits, that they couldn’t fit together because the stuff was totally disorganized.
