It was a while back...at least five years. They had a few scattered with their larger models; I don't remember any for sale, but I am feeble minded these days....
When did you last visit the museum? I remember that they were selling some, but not as part of a museum display.
There are some 1/1250s in the French Maritime Museum in Paris. Also the maritime museums in Lisbon and Venice. Most models in both places are larger scale.
The Kobe Maritime Museum had a small section with mostly Konishi models in a room with what were builders models I assume. Those were much bigger and very detailed. But, in visiting their website I don't see any pictures of them. As Kobe is where Kawasaki is located most of the larger ships shown there were probably built by Kawasaki Heavy Industries. So maybe the display is no longer open to the public. Yamato Museum (Kure) had several models on display of warships built at Kure. These were all larger models and highly detailed.
