The sighting hood covers do come down over the front of the turrets and comparing the size of the heads and caps of the crew with the mouth of the guns suggests 6" rather than 7.5 " or larger. The only wing turrets similar would be the Mk XII 8/45" on the CONNECTICUT and MAINE Class pre-dreadnoughts, but this isn't one. I don't think that this is an American ship, and thus far I can't match it to anything British, French German, Italian or Russian, though it could be one of those.
