The sighting hood covers do come down over the front of the turrets and comparing the size of the heads and caps of the crew with the mouth of the guns suggests 6" rather than 7.5 " or larger. ![]() Swedish cruiser FYLGIA. Had two wing turrets like this. ![]() Agreed. The only wing turrets similar would be the Mk XII 8/45" on the CONNECTICUT and MAINE Class pre-dreadnoughts, but this isn't one. I don't think that this is an American ship, and thus far I can't match it to anything British, French German, Italian or Russian, though it could be one of those. ![]() Doesn't look very American to me...the turret design is a bit off and why would the only ship featured except Victorian and Albert be anything but British. But I really don't know what we are looking at here. ![]() Any ideas as to the identity of this ship? Is it American? The video is worth a look. |
