Blue Willow with no inner border

I fell in love with Blue Willow as a child when my grandmother had a set. I have decided to start collecting a set. I love the pattern which has no inner border. These are usually marked Japan in black ink. I am not having a lot of luck finding information on such pieces. Can someone tell me approximately what time period this type of Willow was made.
